The Merry Wives of Windsor - Act 3, Scene 5
Take away these chalices. Go brew me a pottle of
sack finely.

Are these mugs really made from wood?

Yes, all the mugs are made from quality hardwoods. We search all over to find some of the most beautiful hardwoods available.

What are the mugs sealed with?

Each mug is coated with a three-part FDA approved plastic. Several coats of the plastic are applied to ensure safe coverage and a quality finish.

Can I really drink from my wooden mug?

Oh yes, please do! You may drink any cold beverage, including alcoholic and citric drinks, out of any of the mugs. Most of the mugs are also capable of tolerating hot drinks, but please limit this to coffee-temperature beverages. Please donít pour boiling liquids into the mugs or use them for steeping hot tea. Mugs that are made from many different kinds of wood or some of the more exotic woods are not suitable for hot beverages of any kind.

What is the proper care for the mugs?

Caring for your mug is simple. Please do not put your mug in the dishwasher, microwave, or freezer. Hand wash the mug using a soft cloth and regular dish soap.

How long have you been making mugs?

Ken Phillips (my father) began making mugs and selling them at Renaissance faires in 1994. I (Sherrie Phillips) joined him in the mug business the following year. Our mugs have recently been copied (imitation is the highest form of flattery), but be assured that any mugs purchased from our website or at a Wondrous Works in Wood booth are all made at our Arlington, TX shop.

What if I break my mug?

If for some reason something happens to your mug, send it to us for repair. Send the mug in a box carefully wrapped to:

Wondrous Works in Wood
125 E. Front Street
Arlington, TX 76011.

Please include $7.50 for return shipping and handling.
